Bees are an important part of our ecosystem because plants require their help to grow.

I’m sure residents along Javes Ln are familiar with wasp season.  Because stinging insects need shelter too, this often means they take advantage of existing buildings.  Your home, shed, trees and garage are frequently sheltering spots for a variety of stinging insects. They can also be very difficult to reach.

Call us today if stinging insects have made your home their home.

Black Wasps are black in color, without stripes, and ½ to 1 ½ inches in length. As subterranean creatures, they live in small, underground nests. While the males are virtually harmless, females are capable of stinging when provoked. These stings can be especially painful, and run the same risk of allergic reaction as other stinging insects.

Yellow Jackets are approximately ½ to 1 inch long, and bright yellow and black in color. Similar to bees, they live in large colonies with a queen. When a nest of yellow jackets is located near a home, it must be removed immediately before an infestation develops. Unlike bees, yellow jackets are much more aggressive and can deliver several stings in a single attack.

Hornets are black with white markings and ½ to ⅝ of an inch long. Nests can be found hanging from bushes, trees, and buildings. Like other stinging insects, they have the ability to deliver several stings in a single attack. That’s why a nest should be removed immediately to prevent an infestation.

Honey Bees are light brown in color and measure approximately 15 mm long. They’re known for pollinating flowers in order to produce and store honey. As humans, we benefit greatly from what they provide. However, preventative measures must be taken to ensure a hive doesn’t exist in close proximity to a home.

Stinging Insects Control Banks

The only way to protect your home from bees and other stinging insects is to remove a hive completely. This can be a dangerous task that requires the correct tools and strategy. That’s why it’s important to consult a pest control professional before any removal technique is attempted.

At Get Lost Pest Control, we eliminate and prevent stinging insects with effective bee control Caldwell treatments. For active nests of wasps, yellow jackets, and hornets, we use an instant kill spray to remove existing insects. We’ll knock down nests on the eaves of your home, and treat the areas with a product that will give you up to 3 months of protection. If you have a problem with honey bees, we’ll refer you to a local beekeeper who will safely remove the honey bees and relocate them.
