Eagle has so many great homes and businesses. Unfortunately, spiders like to move right on in and make Eagle homes and businesses their permanent place of residence. Spiders can be seen everywhere from the Eagle Bike Park to the VR1 Arcade. Without using a professional Eagle spider exterminator, your chances of experiencing a spider infestation will be will quite high.
- Black Widow: Black Widows are identified by their shiny black color with a bright red hourglass shape on their back. They are typically 1 1/2 inches to 1 3/8 inches long. They have a venomous bite that is said to be 15 times more venomous than a rattlesnakes bite. A Black Widow bite may cause nausea, difficulty breathing and muscle aches.
- Hobo: Hobo spiders are varying shades of brown with a dark stripe. They are 1 inch to 1 3.4 inch in diameter, including legs. There is some debate about the potency of a hobo spider’s venom. Either way, you probably don’t want a bite from one of these spiders.
- House Spider: True to its name, the house spider often invades homes. Adults can live for a year or more. A female can lay up to 17 egg sacs, or 3,760 eggs in her lifetime. They are a yellowish brown color with white and dark stripes. They are 1/8 of an inch to 5/16 of an inch in length. These spiders may bite in defense, but are not generally considered medically threatening.
