Color: Dark gray in color with yellow hairs
Size: 3/8 of an inch in length
Region: Found throughout the United States except for the states bordering the Gulf of Mexico.
Important Considerations:
- During the winter, Cluster Flies like to enter homes or other structures to escape the cold.
- Cluster Flies typical go back to the same structures every year to overwinter.
- Like other flies, they are attracted to light. Unlike house flies though, they are much slower and may seem sluggish.
Where to Find Them on Your Property?
Once inside a house or structure, cluster flies like to hangout in wall voids or attics. They are also attracted to lights and will swarm a light when they find one.
