Important Considerations:

  • A single snail can produce thousands of offspring in a year. This can cause populations to rapidly expand.

  • Snails frequently carry parasites that can cause serious diseases in humans such as meningitis.

Where to Find Them on Your Property?

Snails are most active at night. However, they will also make an appearance on cloudy or foggy days. During times when the sun is out, snails find dark places to hide. They choose areas such as underneath fences, decks, and meter boxes. During the night or on cloudy days when they are active, snails can be found on shrubbery, flowers, and fruit or vegetable plants.
