Color: Comes in a variety of shades ranging from black to tan
Size: 3/16 of an inch to 7 ½ an inch

Region: Found throughout the world other than cold areas with limited tree growth

Important Considerations:

  • Bats are nocturnal. They will roost in dark places during the day and leave in search of food at night.
  • Most bats hibernate or migrate during the winter.
  • Bats are a human health concern. Their feces can grow fungi and cause lung disease. Bats can also carry rabies and infect other animals or humans.

 

Where to Find Them on Your Property?

Bats look for dark, secluded and protected areas for roosting during the day. Attics are the most common area to find bats in a home.
