Dead Animal Removal

Category: Wildlife

Definition:

Remains of a deceased creature to be removed by pest control professionals (including raccoons, skunks, squirrels, rock chucks, badgers, snakes and rabbits)

Important Considerations:

  • If you find a dead animal on your property you need to stay away from it
  • Dead animals can carry many different diseases that can be harmful to humans
  • It’s best to let pest control professionals dispose of the dead animal on your property
  • If you do have to move the dead animal right away for an important reason, make sure to wear protective gear like thick gloves, a face mask, and goggles- however we do not recommend removing them yourself

Where to Find Them on Your Property?

You can find dead animals in numerous different places on your property, but the smell might be what you notice first if they are hidden. Places to check for dead animals could include behind a dresser, behind or under a chair, inside or behind appliances, in a crawl space, in holes in the floor and more. You might also find dead animals outside in your trash cans or in places like under the deck. Once the dead animal is located, it is best to call pest control professionals to safely take care of the problem for you.
